The Ohio State Racquetball Club is an organization for anyone who is interested in racquetball.  The sport is our passion, and we allow for all those who enjoy the sport to participate as much as they would like.  We travel throughout the Midwest, competing in tournaments against other college teams.

Dues:  There is a $30 membership fee for the Ohio State Racquetball Club.  This fee covers you for the entire year.  It allows us to have some operating cost for traveling to tournaments and to host a tournament here at the Recreational and Physical Activity Center.  It also covers the team T-shirt as well as extra racquetballs and goggles for practices.  Members who travel to more than two tournaments will get a refund for their membership fee.

Participation: There are different ways to participate in the Racquetball Club. You can be an active member and team member, traveling to schools and competing in tournaments.  Tournaments are great because they give you a chance to represent Ohio State as we compete against other schools.  There are different brackets for different skill levels so you don’t have to be an expert to compete in the tournaments.

You can also be an active member who comes a night or two a week to get some fun racquetball time in with people you have never faced before and compete in the Ladder Challenge. We understand that everyone’s schedule can be pretty hectic with everything going on at Ohio State, so you can even be an active member who just comes every couple weeks to play. It’s really up to you.

We encourage everyone to come to at least one tournament to see if they like it.

Ladder Challenge: We have an in-house ranking system called the Ladder Challenge.  This is simply a fun way to compete against other players.  Additionally, it makes it easier to rank players for tournaments that we participate in. The winner of the ladder at the end of each quarter will win $20.

Instruction:  One of our assistant coaches is Ben Toth.  Ben is an alumnus of the Ohio State Racquetball club and has won many of the intercollegiate tournaments we participate in.  He will be at the club practices to give you some pointers to help you become a better racquetball player.  Feel free to approach him at any time to ask for instruction.
